At Ignite Youth, students dig deep into Scripture, studying God in three unique attributes each year and asking why that matters for their own lives. With lots of opportunities to dig into and dialogue about God’s Word, students explore their faith, ask the hard questions, and are challenged in their walk with Christ–while being pointed to the greatness of God and their daily need for the gospel.

WHAT'S NEW?
We are combining Ignite Youth into one week! It’s still the same program students love, with a strong discipleship focus, Scripture study, curriculum, schedule, and many familiar activities, but boys and girls will attend the same week. Combining offers a much more robust program while retaining deep discipleship, with no more than 36 students per gender.
And now the fun lasts longer! Ignite will run Tuesday - Saturday morning.
The basic schedule will remain the same, with intentional times where boys and girls are together and separate (see sample schedule below). Meals and main sessions will be all together, but discussion groups and cabin conversations will always be gender specific for depth. Evening free time will allow for some mixed activity fun, but morning/afternoon activities and swim time will be gender-specific.
IGNITE DETAILS
DISCIPLESHIP: Camp influence is short-term, so our goal is to reinforce truth that students hear at home and church. Our curriculum is God-exalting, gospel-centered, and personally applicable. We emphasize the redemptive story of Scripture, personal Bible study, and thoughtful questions, not just surface Christian answers. Our counselors lead teaching and discussions, encourage students to ask questions and study Scripture for themselves, and to talk to other godly people they know.
CAMP WEEK: July 22-26 (Tuesday - Saturday AM)
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: Tuesday at 9:30am - Saturday at 10:30am
CLOSING PROGRAM: 10am on Saturday (families encouraged to attend). Departure following at 10:30am.
INTENTIONALLY SMALL: 36 spots per gender, so register soon!

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is the difference now that Ignite Youth weeks are combined?
The schedule will be nearly the same, but with intentional times of boys and girls together and separate. Main sessions will be together, but breakouts and cabin conversations will be gender specific. Evenings will have mixed activities, but morning/afternoon activities + swim time will be separate.
-
How do cabins work?
Bunk style housing in Summit West creates our “cabins”, with separate floors for girls and boys. There are 6 students and one counselor per room, with two counselors combining rooms in a pod to create a “cabin”.
-
What activities do you offer?
There is swim time by gender each day. Other activities rotate, but favorites include archery, weaponry, canoeing, gaga ball, and more! Special crafts or creative projects vary from year to year. Evening activities include group games, laser tag, 9 square, and the like.
-
What is camp food like?
We try to keep simple comfort food like burrito bowls, roasted hot dogs, BBQ chicken legs, or spaghetti and meatballs, with options for most allergies (see specifics about allergies below). There are cereal and PB sandwich options for the picky eaters, and snacks during the day.
-
What about allergies?
Because we value keeping camp affordable, our allergy accommodations are limited. Our kitchen is not able to prepare allergy substitutes, but whenever possible, we offer main menu items that are gluten-free or accessible for various allergies (a protein without dairy, for example). Please make a note of your child’s allergies in your registration so we’re aware as we plan portions.
You’re welcome to send supplemental food if your child is on a specific diet or needs specific food (ready to eat or microwaveable); just let your counselor know when you arrive. We have fridge space designated for this. -
What should we pack?

And our student guidelines
-
Can my child request a roommate?
Yes! We can’t guarantee that all requests will be accommodated, but we do take them into consideration.
-
What if my child gets injured/sick or needs medication?
We have an on-duty registered nurse to handle the disbursement of any medications and who will assess each case of injury or sickness. In any scenario possible, we will contact the child’s emergency contact to inform about medical care. Please make sure your emergency contact is accurate and available for the camp week. If there is ever a medical emergency, we will call 911 before calling the emergency contact.
If your child needs to take a regular medication, please pack it in a bag with the student’s name to give to the on-duty nurse when you arrive. Prescription meds must be in their original container.
-
Do you offer refunds if for canceling?
Camp Maranatha does not want your inability to attend an event to cause financial hardship. Deposits are non-refundable as they cover processing fees. Any payments made in excess of the deposit may be refunded if given notice at least three weeks prior to the event, or if you have a family emergency or sickness at the time of the event. You can also opt to donate your registration fee towards our scholarship fund.
-
Can my child attend part of the week?
In order to experience the full progression of intentional Bible study and fun, we ask that students not come to camp unless they are able to commit to the whole time.
-
What about electronics?
Ignite Youth weeks are electronic free. Please leave all internet-accessible devices at home (ipad, laptop, smart watch, ipod, etc.). Digital cameras or watches without internet access are fine. If your child brings a device, a counselor will confiscate it for the week.
