A Story of Impact
At camp, we don’t often get to see or be part of the growth produced in people’s lives as they go home and apply what they’ve learned and experienced here. Frequently our labor is the simple acts of planting seeds, tilling soil, or watering.
What a treasure when we do get a glimpse into Jesus’s work in lives!
In recent Pray First updates, we asked you to pray for open hearts to the gospel during youth camps, and for truths heard throughout summer camps to be applied as guests returned home. We wanted to let you know that God is answering your prayers! One example was a message we received from a camp mom following summer:
“Just wanted to share, [my daughter] just asked Christ in her heart! This is all coming from great conversations at camp. Praising God and thanking Him for the good work He did through all of you at camp!”
There’s nothing more encouraging than hearing stories of God stirring in hearts. Not only that, but it’s a good reminder that we never know the depth and breadth of our labors at camp. We don’t know how many God continues to convict and bring to salvation, how many believers are taking their faith more seriously, how many returned to be a vital part of their churches, and how many are now ablaze for Jesus.
Each person who comes to camp is on a different journey, and many times the gradual, day by day transformation that takes place is unbeknownst to us. But God will carry His work to completion, and that is what we are praising Him for today!
